|THE ABERGER SCHOLARSHIP
Founded by Rider Alumni, Faculty and Staff who are dedicated and passionate about study abroad. Students who are studying abroad in a foreign language will be given first preference and is awarded to students who are studying abroad on a credit bearing program. Preference will be given to those students who are studying abroad on a semester and summer term, yet applicable to those who are studying abroad on a short term program.
THE BRONC GO ABROAD FUND
Founded by Rider alumnus Louis Riehl, this scholarship is awarded to one student per semester who will participate in an educational study abroad program and demonstrates financial need. Preference is given to those students whose study abroad experience will take place in Ireland.
THE DORIS DeYOUNG SCHOLARSHIP
The Doris DeYoung Student Travel Award was established in memory of the long-time
English Department adjunct, who was interested in student travel overseas and who
generously left a bequest to the department. The fund makes available approximately
$6000 each year for student overseas travel for the purpose of study at a university.
Applicants should be English majors or minors, and the prospective study should be
connected to their interest in English literature or writing and/or in cinema studies.
LIBERAL ARTS & SCIENCES STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP
Sponsored by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Education and Sciences, this scholarship provides funds each year of up to $500 to CLAS undergraduate students who need financial assistance for their study abroad program. Any full-time undergraduate student in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences is eligible.
THE DIANA CRANE STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP (WCC)
This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in their junior or senior year at Westminster Choir College who will participate in a study abroad experience. Students must have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
*For all Rider Affiliate scholarships below, students must be accepted by Rider and the Affiliate program before they can apply for an award. Please inform the Center for International Education if you do apply so we can assist you with the details. Your program budget will be reduced if you are successful with securing a scholarship.
|Affiliate Provider Scholarships|
API awards approximately $400,000 in study abroad scholarships annually ranging from $250 -$1,000 per student. Students may apply for multiple API scholarships (though may only be awarded one).
Each year, scholarships are given to students who submit application materials demonstrating high academic achievement and financial need. CAPA offers several $2500 and $500 scholarships for semester programs, and $1000 and $500 for summer programs to students who demonstrate high financial need. CAPA offers several scholarships of $500 to students who demonstrate high academic merit.
A variety of scholarships are available including financial aid for students who are economically challenged, from diverse backgrounds, with documented disabilities or pursuing underrepresented fields of study.
IES Abroad provides a variety of scholarships for program participants. Needs-based and merit awards are available.

IFSA-Butler offers both general scholarships based on financial need for any of their programs and a range of other scholarships and discounts.
ISA offers merit based scholarships that students are encouraged to apply for.
|External Funding: National Prestigious Scholarships|
Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to add an important international and language component to their educations. Awards are focused on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study that are critical to U.S. national security, broadly defined, and underrepresented in study abroad. The NSEP Service Requirement stipulates that an award recipient work in the Federal Government in a position with national security responsibilities for a minimum of one year.
|DAAD UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. Preference will be given to students whose projects or programs are based at and organized by a German university.

|GILMAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Gilman Scholarship Program provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. The program strongly encourages students to choose non-traditional study abroad destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

|ROTARY CLUB AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The Rotary Foundation provides funding for one academic year of study in another country. Students must have completed two years of college course work or have equivalent professional experience and be proficient in the language of the proposed host country.

|GO OVERSEAS STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIPS
The Go Overseas Study Abroad Scholarship is open to all current or aspiring study abroad students. Scholarships are awarded each year. The scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions.
|FUND FOR EDUCATION ABROAD SCHOLARSHIPS
Fund for Education Abroad awards approximately 40 scholarships up to $10,000 each academic year. FEA awards are intended to support students planning to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs in the academic year or summer term. The financial support for these scholarships is provided by generous donors, who are committed to increasing study abroad opportunities for dedicated American students.

|BOREN SCHOLARSHIP FOR STEM FIELDS
The Boren Scholarships offer a special initiative for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) majors. The scholarships fund up to $8,000 for summer study (minimum of 8 weeks) for students majoring in the STEM fields.

|FULBRIGHT PROGRAM FOR U.S. STUDENTS
The Fulbright program offers grants to U.S. citizens who are recent undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals to pursue study, research and teaching initiatives abroad. Grants are highly competitive and are typically one academic year in length.
