Academics Location(s)
Ulster University offers great academics on four campuses, each with its own character. The largest university on the island of Ireland and one of the largest in the U.K., Ulster has a reputation as a modern, progressive, entrepreneurial university. Because American students are a rarity at Ulster, the university welcomes them warmly. Whether you're looking for small-town coziness or big-city bustle, one of the Ulster campuses will suit you! The University comprises five faculties: arts; business and management; engineering; life and health sciences; and social sciences. Within each faculty are a wide range of schools located across the four campuses. Top departments include: Art and design, Architecture, Fine and applied arts, Photography, Textiles and fashion design and Visual communications.

The Belfast campus lies in the country's largest city. If you're looking for a vibrant and social cultural life in a location with spectacular natural views, Belfast is the place for you. The reopening of the Grand Opera House and a number of new businesses have revitalized the city, which also enjoys great shopping, nightlife and a thriving café culture. The city's compact layout makes it easy for students to get around.

If you are interested in studying on one of Ulster's other four campuses, please let the Center for International Education know during your advisement, to ensure your academic program correlates with your degree requirements.
Student Life
Students live in university housing with degree-seeking students. At all campuses, students can purchase or prepare their own meals. Most housing is within walking distance of classes. All four campuses feature active student unions.
