Academics Location
The various semester programs at the University of Belgrano are available with courses at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced language levels. An intensive Spanish language program focusing on grammar, conversation, and culture is offered, as well as the Classes with Argentine Students program and the Latin American Studies programs offered in Spanish and in English. All semester classes are taught by Argentine professors at the University of Belgrano. The Intensive Spanish Language program is ideal for students who wish to focus on Spanish acquisition in an international setting. The Classes with Argentine Students and the Latin American Studies courses offer a variety of educational opportunities for students who study abroad. Buenos Aires (pop. 13 million including suburbs) is well-known for its cultural diversity and dynamic atmosphere, making it one of South America's most elegant and vibrant cities. The city's history revolves around the Western European immigrants whose descendants have preserved their influences since the 19th century by way of architecture, art, and style. Buenos Aires has also adopted some more modern architectural styles, which provide a notable contrast to the city's deep-rooted traditions and history. Buenos Aires has countless opportunities for students to enjoy exhilarating soccer games, world-class theatrical and dance performances, a vibrant nightlife, and unique architecture. Many students will find themselves intrigued by the beautiful Argentine accent and the national dance, the Tango. Students are sure to witness tango performances throughout the city's streets, cafes, and theaters. Students should be prepared to indulge in an irresistible culture situated in a beautiful landscape.
Student Life
Housing in Buenos Aires provides students with the opportunity to live in an Argentine home with a local family or in a residencia with other international students from all over the world. All home stays are located in middle to upper class neighborhoods. Room and partial board, which consists of breakfast and dinner with your host family, is included in the program price as well as laundry service once a week.

Students may also elect to live in a residencia for an extra cost. They may have one to three other international roommates that are not part of the ISA program. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served Monday through Friday at the residencias, with access to the kitchen on the weekends. Also, you may opt to secure housing independently. If you select this option, you are solely responsible for researching and reserving housing, and paying all fees, deposits, and rent directly to the housing facility that you choose.
