Academics Location
The CEFAM program is designed for students who wish to pursue their undergraduate studies while exploring and experiencing life in a major European city. There is no French language requirement for participating in this Study Abroad program. Students may register for both business and liberal arts courses and all courses are taught in English. Lyon is also the gastronomic capital of the world. With a remarkable location at the heart of Europe, Lyon is on an average of 1½ hours to major European cities such as Barcelona, Milan, Turin, and Geneva. The train network puts Lyon at 2 hours from Paris, and 5 hours from London by Eurostar. The proximity of Provence, the Mediterranean, the Alps, and the large wine regions add charm to the Lyon area.
Student Life
The CEFAM campus is made up of 17 different schools and training centers serving more than 5,000 enrolled students. Students benefit from a cutting edge academic environment that includes a completely wireless campus; a library and research facility (4,500 works, free access to the virtual library Cyberlibris, free access to private data bases for company and industry research, document management services); a multi-media learning center; cafeteria; study and lounging spaces; 24/7 on campus security services; and on-site photocopying facilities. In addition, study abroad students may participate in all the extracurricular activities offered at CEFAM, including clubs, sports, cultural events, and of course social events.
