The University College is on a beautiful, safe, self-contained campus in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham with busy towns nearby, great local transport links and central London only 30 minutes away by train.

We are proud of our community atmosphere, and with just 4,000 students studying here, it is easy to make friends and feel at home.

We offer all the advantages of a great London location, with the peace and safety of our leafy self-contained campus at Strawberry Hill.

St Mary’s has a formidable reputation for sport and encourages participation at all levels. Recognising the remarkable quality of our sports facilities, we have been nominated for a pre-Olympic preparation and training camp for top athletes from around the world in the period leading up to the 2012 London Olympics.

Student Life
A student-centered, friendly atmosphere, very high student satisfaction rates, and a strong research culture places us in a favorable position amongst London providers of Higher Education. Our Catholic ethos is rooted in a well-earned tradition of making people of all faiths or no faith feel welcome, and in offering hospitality to everyone.

There are a number of accommodation options for international students, including 16 Strawberry Hill Road (our international hall of residence) De Marillac Hall and Old House (which has male-only and female-only corridors). This accommodation is handled by our Accommodation Office.
Situated in a peaceful, leafy residential area right next to our campus, 16 Strawberry Hill Road is a popular accommodation choice with international students. The beautiful 19th-century Victorian property was refurbished in 2009 and is located a two-minute walk from the University College and Strawberry Hill Station.

The hall comprises eighteen single study bedrooms on three floors, with shared bathroom facilities on each floor. The size of the hall and range of nationalities of students living there each year mean there is a friendly atmosphere and a good community spirit: for example, this year students have held a number of dinners to introduce fellow residents to their country's culture and cuisine (eg Vietnamese Night, Korean Night).
